• Kelly Martin

    Executive Director

As Executive Director of The Laurel Senior Living, Kelly will oversee all aspects of the community, ensuring the residents receive the best age-in-place experience with individualized quality care. With 23 years of experience in Healthcare Administration, 13 of which were spent in the senior living industry, Kelly is passionate about enriching the lives of the elderly and is dedicated to her residents, families, and team members. Her passion for the elderly started 33 years ago when she had her first volunteer assignment for school service hours at a local nursing home. She fell in love with the stories and wisdom the residents shared and continued her volunteer work with seniors in the community for 23 years. In 2005, she received an opportunity to have a career in senior living, allowing her to grow her passion and gain extensive knowledge of the functions of a senior living community, skills for working with seniors experiencing Memory Loss, as well as leadership and development tools. “My career in senior living has taught me that everyone needs a purpose, even the elderly, especially those suffering from Memory Loss, and it is so rewarding to help the elderly discover that purpose.”

Kelly was born and raised in New Orleans. She studied Biology and Theology at William Carey University at the New Orleans Baptist Seminary. She also served on the Board of Directors for The New Orleans Continuity of Care for ten years. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her son Cody, cooking, fishing, traveling, and helping kids in the community through her non-profit organization in honor of her late son, Collin.
